helllllooooo dace! the muted hues of the dace fall '11 collection are absolutely, positively perfect (the prices aren't too bad either!) to me, these shades work year round and cater to almost any skin tone and hair color. my closet is well on its way to only containing items in these neutral tones. oh and my favorite part - all of the sheers!

sf treat {part 1}

i didn't realize just how many photos i took until i started writing this post. holy moly. so instead of dumping them all into one post i've decided to break them up. two photo parties!

we had an amazing time in san francisco. breann and andreas were such wonderful hosts! it was hard leaving behind the late mornings spent sleeping in, days spent wandering about, and evenings spent dining well. oh and did i mention we had perfect 80 degree weather while we were there...

i have to keep reminding myself that there's lots of great things about the encroaching cooler seasons. like boots, tights, layering, warm apple desserts, and the sound of crunching leaves. yea, you're okay afterall fall.

...drink of choice

 

i've been trying to limit my caffeine intake and surprisingly i've been doing a pretty good job of sticking to a one cup a day rule. but like any bad habit, kicking it cold turkey is hard, so i've been curbing my craving by drinking lots of tea - like this pretty floral infusion.

...on a boat

ok who doesn't wish they could pack up all their belongings and move onto a houseboat - especially when that houseboat looks like this?!? head on over to apartment therapy to see the rest of sue's amazing seattle boat home.

...greener pastures

j and i made a quick trip home over the holiday weekend to spend time with family and friends. as always, the weekend flew by but we were able to squeeze in some time for our favorite qc activity - antiquing! while waiting for one shop to open, we decided to go for a scenic drive. there's nothing like cruising country roads on a beautiful morning, windows down, coffee in hand, listening to your favorite pandora station. we even stopped along the way to pick a wildflower bouquet for my mom and so j could let out some excitement...
