...madrid

as you know from this post, i had the good fortune to travel to spain and italy with a best friend and amazing travel partner. we ate, drank, explored, sunbathed, dreamed, barely slept and enjoyed every second of it!

it feels natural that today be the day i make my first "after" post on the trip. i mean, it was exactly a month ago today that i was landing in madrid for what would be an unforgettable 15 days of bliss. i loved every little thing about this city. the food (mmmmm tapas), the culture, the people. it helped that we knew locals who were more than willing to take us to all the best spots in the city. seriously, nothing beats a locals perspective - i couldn't imagine traveling any other way now! it was also nice that we started and ended our adventure in madrid. ahhhh sweet madrid - you hold a special place in my heart - i will be back soon. very soon!
