our last day in st. louis was spent at the city museum. what a magical place. i can't believe i hadn't discovered this place sooner.

magic.mystery.mayhem. as a child my favorite attraction was house on the rock, my go to movie was labyrinth and my best friend dressed as a warlock on a regular basis. lets just say i was in my element.

we spent the weekend visiting friends in st. louis. they were amazing hosts, and showed us a side of st. louis i wasn't expecting. who knew there was more to the city than bad light beer and a baseball team named after the illinois state bird. i'm only kidding, kind of...

our first stop was at schlafly bottleworks - an amazing microbrewery located on locust street in maplewood. tours are free and at the end you are taken into a private bar for tastings. of course we didn't stop there...

we made our way to the tap room for some extra tastes. the group favorite was the vanilla porter topped with the coffee stout. magic. the only downside ... they keep their distribution to a 300 mile radius, so unless you live in missouri, illinois, indiana, kansas, kentucky, mississippi, or tennessee, you are going to have to go straight to the source. st. louis.

seriously.can i dress up in these clothes EVERY day! tights.dresses.skinny black jeans.mini skirts. oh my! the label - based out of Canada - embodies everything clothing should be - classic, comfortable, eclectic. you can be sure i will be adding a few ella peru pieces to my wardrobe this summer when i go back to toronto!

...copper label

after being without a tag for over a year, we finally bought O this beautiful copper tag from Make Your Dog Smile. he loves it and i love how he jingles whenever he moves about. easier to keep an eye on!

...pop of feline

 

i have become quite the lipstick lush. look in my bag at any time and you will find at least five tubes all in varying shades of red. these by Paul & Joe would  make quite the statement - although i think i would feel bad smudging away the  kittys face - so maybe i'll just give them as gifts. i know exactly which feline  loving friends to give them to.
